Belt Collins is assisting the USFS with two communication design projects. The first includes developing graphic and informational collateral - a tote bag, logo, brochure, and booklet - to introduce the USFS' new Sustainable Recreation Framework. Secondly, Belt Collins developed a Visitor Safety Communication report for the USFS's southern region (R8). The document contains guiding principles and best communication practices for improving visitor safety communication, research on effective communicaiton tools and techniques and examples of quality communication practices found within the USFS and outside the agency.
On both of these projects, Belt Collins is partnered with CHM Government Services on the National Recreation Program Business Advisory Service Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with the U.S. Forest Service (AG-02NV-C-09-0004) from 2009 to 2014. This IDIQ provides the Forest Service with Business Advisory Services for their recreation and wilderness programs across the nation. Belt Collins' role in this contract is to provide recreation and resource-based planning expertise as well as interpretive planning and communication design services.
